White lines that appear on you finger nails what is the causes

For the white lines in your finger nails there are different cause which we will look into in this article.

There are 3 main factor that may have been responsible or the causative of such white line showing on the nail this include

Leukonychia
pseudoleukonychia
deficiency in zinc and calcium

For Leukonychia, this are cause as a result of injury to the nail such as slamming the door against the hand, or mistakenly hitting a hard object on you finger nail toe,. As the nail starts to heal from the injury which normally take quite some time then you start seeing such white line this is as a result of the bruises you got from the injury

For pseudoleukonychia this is caused by the dehydration of the body system the resultant effect shows up in the nail as a white line, in this case it is advisable to see a doctor for better and proper examination.

Deficiency in zinc and calcium: I have a friend who had same white lines showing up in his finger nails upon seeing a doctor it was diagnosed he is deficient of zinc minerals and should take food that contains zinc and calcium. It really funny when he took it the white lines disappeared and when he stopped taking them they reappear again. Hence it could be concluded that most people with such lines in their nails might be lacking this very minerals hence the reason for it showing up this could be one of the main factor.
