People that are mostly affected by seborrheic dermatitis
Children in their infant or tender age as well as adults above the age of 50 these are the group of people susceptible to this aliments.  For newborn between the first 3 months they tend to experience this condition this is due to the androgens just after child birth and about 75% of new born child have this experience. Also in terms of gender research has shown that the occurrence is much higher in the male folk than the females.

Causes or factors responsible for seborrheic dermatitis
Up till now there has not been any concert factor that can be pin point as the causative of this aliment, yet there are some connections of seborrheic dermatitis with certain fungi microbes that tend to grow faster in areas of the body where there are lipids such as the hair scalp, chest, nasal region, this parts of the body are much richer in lipids hence it is the part that are mostly affected by the disease.

Other factors responsible include stress and strain, skin with excessive oil, injury in the spinal cord, AIDS etc.

Best ways for prevention
For patient with this condition need to maintain good and constant hygiene, for those with excess oil in skin and hair should bath at lest twice in a day and the hair should be washed regularly.

Also if there be any form or symptoms of other sickness it should be treated on time so as to prevent the development of seborrheic dermatitis.

For scalps in the hair it can easily be controlled with the use of medicated shampoos, for acute case the shampoo should be use daily until the scaling and dandruff subside then it should be apply at lest once in a week as the case maybe.
